Prepositions

.Defination of prepositions:A word that shows  the relationship between a noun or a pronoun and some other word or element in the rest of the sentence.

For example:- a) There is cat sitting under the tree.

b)I go to school by bus.

Preposition in hindi:- एक शब्द जो noun or pronoun या फिर किसी  अन्य शब्द को वाक्य के अन्दर जोड़ता हो तो उसे हम  preposition कहते है। यही preposition कई बार  conjuction का  भी काम करते है।

       RRulesRREprepositions ENGLISH OR HINDI:-

a) Among.   

Among का प्रयोग हमेशा दो से अधिक के संदर्भ में होता है।

1) The teacher distribute sweets among them.

2)Alms were distributed among the beggars.

  . Between का अर्थ है 'दो के बीच मे'

For example:-The match will be played between india and Australia.

Note:-Between का प्रयोग दो से अधिक के लिए भी होता हैं । जब वहा (  Mutual relationship ) हो।

(1) There is a tournament to be played between india, Australia and New Zealand.

. Between के बाद हमेशा objective case का use होता हैं।

eg.There is a no animity between him and me.

  

(यहाँ Him और me objective case हैं)

Note:-    Between के बाद  subjective case का use नही होता।

(1) Between the students.

. Between के बाद noun और pronoun हमेशा plural होते हैं।

(2) Between them 

(3) Between us 

. Between के बाद क़भी भी each और every का use नही करते है।

For example:-Between each boy(x)

2) Between each girl(x)

. Difference between among or amongst:-

 

.1) The से पहले 'Among' और Amongst दोनों का use हो सकता है।

For example:-a) Among the boys.

b) Amongst the boys.

Note:- Among का प्रयोग consonant sound se शरु होंने vale words से पहले और Amonst का प्रयोग vowel sound से शरु  होंने वा लेे Word के पहले  होता है।

. Prepositions Beside use:-(के बग़ल में)

a) He sat beside me.

Preposition Besides:-(के अलावा)

a)Besides the children ,his nephew were also present in the party.

. Across:- ( एक तरफ से दूसरी तरफ )

1) I swam across the river.

.Across का प्रयोग कई अर्थो मे होता है।

1) On the opposite side .

2) Both side.

eg:-1) He is waiting for me across the road.

2)A tree fell across the railway line that cause the accident.

.Came across:- (अचानक मुलाकात होना) 

For example :- when i was going to college , I suddenly  came across my childhood friend.(×)

Note:- Came across का स्वयं का मतलब 'अचानक मुलाकात' होना है इसलिए यहाँ हम suddenly का use नही करेंगे।

 2) Came across के बाद With का use भी नही होता है।

. I came across with him(×)

Through:- ( के माध्य्म से / के जरिए से)

a) The train passed through the tunnel.

On:-के ऊपर/ स्पर्श में

eg.The book is on the table.

Prepositions 'Upon 'use:- ( के ऊपर  motion में)

For example :- The cat jumped upon the table.

Over:- के ऊपर/ स्पर्श में नहीं

For example :- we need a roof over the head 

Exception:-अगर किसी वस्तु पर किसी चीज का आवरण हो तो वहा 'over' का use होता हैं। चाहे वह touch में हो या नही 

a) put a blanket over the baby.

Prepositions "In"

1. We are sitting in the room( यहाँ in का अर्थ है - के अन्दर/ में

Prepositions " into" :-

( Into का अर्थ होता है - के अन्दर जाता हुवा / motion में।

For example :- The boy jumped into the river.

Note:- into से पहले ना तो Enter ,

और न ही Throw का use होता है।

Preposition में ' by ' का  use:-( के द्वारा) 

eg .The snake is killed by the man with the stick.

Some important rule for prepositions:-

. a)

At or in:-

छोटे place के लिए at का use करे और बड़े place के साथ 'in ' का प्रयोग करे।

For example:- I live at Mukherji nagar in Delhi.

Inspite of :- के बावजूद

Eg:- Inspite of working hard ,he failed.

b) किसी भी वाहन से यात्रा करते हुए 'By + vehicle का प्रयोग किया जाता है 

For example:- I am going by car.

C) Exact time (hour) के लिए AT का Use और month के लिए in and day और date के लिए on का use करे।

Onto:- He jumped onto his horse and road away.

use of prepostion ' of ':-

a) of का use origin के रूप में होता है।

eg:- He comes of a royal family.

B) बीमारी से मारने  के sense में  died of का use करते है।

Eg: He died of cancer 

C) किसी कारण मारना उसके लिए  died from  का  use करते है।

eg.He died from thirst.
